YOU'LL HAVE A WARM WELCOME
The Bible uses the illustration of a good shepherd to describe one facet of God's relationship with his people. A shepherd cares for his flock - feeding, watering and protecting the sheep. Jesus Christ; the Good Shepherd, who gave his life for the sheep, cares for his own without fail.
Morning Service 1 JOHN 5; 12-15
One of God's great promised blessings is to give assurance to his those, who trust Jesus Christ (have the Son), assurance that their sins have been forgiven and that they have eternal life. Should this assurance be lost then we can confidently pray for it.
Evening Service: Judges 9:26-57, Abimelech's "humiliating" death
Following killing his brothers and becoming king, Abimlelch reigns for 3 years; supported by the people of Shechem. Then the LORD breaks in with severe judgement on him and the Shechmites. They lived ignoring the LORD and then came the time of reckoning. The Shechemites are destroyed by Abimelech and he is stooped in his tracks by a woman dropping a millstone on his head.
