Children's talk: we had a short quiz recapping the Easter story. The children beat the adults and it was a good reminder of the momentous events of that first Easter
Morning Service: (1 Samuel 17). Goliath, the formidable giant, scares Israel's army into standstill. David (the shepherd from Bethlehem) is the unlikely deliverer. He sees the giant against the greatness and faithfulness of the LORD. David is not scared into a standstill.
Evening Service (Matthew 5:33-37). The Lord Jesus tells his people to speak in a straight forward and honest way. There is no need to use flowery religious speech in trying to make a point but "Let your yes be yes and your no be no". This honest way of speaking comes from a heart that is changing, becoming more pure and is enthusiastic to see God glorified.
