Children's Talk: Daniel was taken as a prisoner in Babylon. He was faithful to the LORD. He became a high ranking government official but remained faithful to the LORD even when laws that outlawed his faith were passed
Morning Service: (1 Samuel 20). David the king to-be and Jonathan, the crown prince, make a covenant friendship to always be each other's friends and never seek to take any revenge on each other's families. Jonathan died before David and David remained true to his promise. Their covenant friendship was patterned on the LORD's covenant with his people.
Evening Service: In Matthew 5:31-32 the Lord Jesus demands of his followers high standards in marriage, which is a God-given blessing. Sexual immorality, is the only ground for divorce and re-marriage. Christians must always live higher standards than formal religion and be willing to be different to others in our world.
