Morning Service: 520 BC, Zechariah prophecies in Jerusalem: a righteous, humble and gentle King will ride into Jerusalem. He will bring peace. On the first Palm Sunday, Jesus of Nazareth rides into Jerusalem; he is God's promised Messiah (Saviour-King). He bring peace to our hearts by dealing with our sins on the cross.
Children's Talk: We told the story of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. The crowds waved palm branches and shouted out "Hosanna, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord"
Evening Service. Psalm 2, tells us that in spite of all opposition God's installs his King. God's puroses are unstoppable. This king will reign forever. Our response must be to welcome him into our lives (as Psalm 2 puts it; "Kiss the Son"). Jesus Christ, God the Son, is the king who is righteous, gentle and full of compassion
