Morning Service - God has brought the Saviour Jesus: In Acts 13 Paul is preaching in the synagogue in Antioch. He declares that Jesus of Nazareth is the long expected Messiah. Religious leaders may have condemned him but even as Jesus dies God's great plan is happening: God has brought the Saviour Jesus. God assures us that Jesus is the Messiah by raising him from the dead.
Evening Service: Worship in the Wilderness. The Israelites are in the wilderness. God gives them detailed instructions on how they must worship him. They build the Tabernacle as he commands. The Tabernacle will be where God will be in the midst of his people. Here they will be assured of his presence, faithfulness and goodness. At the heart of their worship was the assurance that sin is atoned for through a sacrifice. This all points forward to Jesus Christ.
