Morning Service: This morning we concentrated on Romans 14. There are things that Christians can disagree over; things that don't change the nature of the Good News about Jesus. For the things that it's ok for Christians to disagree over, they must do it always remembering that Jesus Christ is Lord and always looking to build up and encourage other Christians.
Evening Service: In Acts Chapter 4 Christians have been threatened by the authorities. So they mee to to pray. As they pray they acknowledge that God is in total control & that the death of Jesus was God's plan. They pray for boldness to keep on telling others the Good News.

Morning - Paul and Silas find themselves in prison. They sing God's praises. An earthquake throws open the prison doors and their chain fall off. The gaoler is about to commit suicide but after Paul's intervention asks, What must I do to be saved? Paul's answer is Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Morning Service: Freedom in Jesus is not the excuse to live as you please. It is freedom to serve and love God. This leads to loving your neighbour and serving him/her.
Evening Service: The Israelites finally cross the River Jordan into the Promised Land. They got there because of God's grace, power and promises. They had behaved so badly over the previous 43 years that they didn't deserve this blessing. God blesses us not because we deserve but because he is gracious.
Our Bible study group met today. The subject was Christ, the Conqueror. The Bible describes Jesus as conquering Satan, sin, condemnation, death, God's law and wrath.
There was plenty of discussion and good input from the group.
Morning - Explored the meaning of the word "Hallelujah" - which means Praise God. One of the younger members of the congregation taught us a song emphasising this.
Morning Service: In John chapter 8 Jesus Christ makes a wonderful claim - he sets us free and gives us wonderful spiritual freedom. When we know him and his truth we are blessed with freedom from our sins and their consequences.
Evening Service: The Israelites are coming to an end of 40 years of wandering in the wilderness. Yet they show unfair impatience with God. A a result poisonous snakes plague the camp. Healing comes when Moses makes a bronze snake. All who take God's words seriously and look at this snake are healed.
The Lord Jesus uses this as a picture to describe his crucifixion. So that all who look at him and trust him have life.
