Belshazzar, proud God-mocking king of Babylon has been waned by God that judgement is coming. Even though Belshazzar is terrified he refuses to repent. God's swift judgement falls on him - he is killed and the Medes & Persians take over the Empire. We are foolish to mock God and ignore his warnings of judgement.
