Finally after 2 years the butler remembers Jospeh in prison. The king (Pharoah) has dreams that unsettle him: 7 thin cows eat 7 fat cows, then 7 thin heads of corn eat 7 fay he3ads of corn. God uses Jospeh to warn the king that 7 years of plenty will be replaced by 7 years of famine. Egypt needs to prepare. The king promotes Joseph to be his right hand man to prepare for the famine. The LORD is with Jospeh - he is released from prison and by the end of the day is Egypt's prime minister.

Belshazzar, proud God-mocking king of Babylon throws a self-centered party. During the part God spectacularly through writing on the wall and Daniel announces that Belshazzar has been weighed in the balance of God's justice and will be judges. That very night he is killed and the Medes & Persians take over the empire.

The Stability of the Gospel of Peace.
Christians need a stable base in the spiritual warfare. This is provided by understanding that the Good News of Jesus is all to do with God giving us his peace when we trust Jesus Christ. This peace guards our souls and minds in Christ Jesus.
Joseph is in prison even though he is innocent of any crime. he is enable to interperate dreams of two other prisoners: the king baker and butler. As Joseph interpretated the dreams the baker was executed but the butler was reinstated to serve in the king's court. Joseph asks the butler to mention to the king that he is innocent of any crime. The butler forgets!

Proud Nebuchadnezzar is spectacularly humbled. he then acknowledges that there is a greater king than him & a greater kingdom than his. He acknowledges God's authority and power. In his desperate state he takes the one route open to him - he throws himself onto God's mercy, He is restored. The route to God's mercy is always open to those willing to humble themselves before him
Ephesians 6:14, The Breastplate of Righteousness.
God is righteous in his very being. He is always consistent, keeping to his own righteous standards. We cannot be righteous in and of ourselves. God gives Christ's righteousness to all who trust Christ. When the devil seeks to destroy our assurance and overwhelm us with guilt then we point him to the unchangeable fact that we are righteous in Christ.
