Children's Talk: A torch is vital as we make our way in darkness. The Bible lights up our lives to God's ways so that we can know right and wrong. Without the Bible we are sure to get spiritually lost.
Morning Service: (1 John 3:11-18). Love for other Christians is a certain sign that a person has true faith. This love is to be sincere, sacrificial, self-giving and constant i.e. the same kind of love as Jesus showed for us as he gave himself on the cross.
Evening Service: Judges 3, the Israelites three times forsake the LORD. He brings on them his judgement on their sins. Yet he does does nor forsake them but raises 3 Judges to deliver them from their enemies. The LORD always gives us the opportunity to turn from our sins. He delivers us ultimately through Jesus Christ.

A quiet but pleasant morning was spent discussing many things over a cuppa.
In out Thought For The Day we concentrated on the conversion of Saul of Tarsus - an event that has had a great effect in our world as through Paul many became Christians and the Gospel spread across the Roman Empire.
Children's Talk: How important it is to say "Thank you". Jesus once healed 10 lepers but only 1 came back to say "Thank you". God is to be thanked always for his continuing goodness.
Morning Service: Christian living is to be dominated by righteous living. Living as God desires and commands. Jesus Christ is righteous and he has lived a righteous life. He is the role model for each Christian. To claim to be a Christian and not practice righteousness must not be - it is inconsistent.
Evening Service: (Judges 2:11-3:6). The LORD accuses the Israelites of being stubborn and unfaithful to him. He is their covenant God but they choose to break the terms of the covenant. They are faced with the facts that the LORD greatly blesses his obedient people but the Israelites stubbornly refuse to acknowledge this.
Children's Talk: In the Bible we read about the things that God wishes us to do and Jesus Christ coming to set us free. We learnt a song to help us remember these facts.
Morning Service: (1 John 3:1-3). Our focus was on the wondrous love of God lavished on sinners. because of his great love we are given a Saviour to trust for the forgiveness of sins. God's love will lead to all those who trust Jesus seeing him and being transformed to be like him.
Evening Service: Judges 2. After reaching the Promised Land the Israelites compromised, became apathetic and disobeyed the LORD. Their unfaithfulness as challenged by the Messenger of the LORD's presence appearing a a physical form (a person who is God but also distinct from God and who can only be the Son of God) The Israelites respond to his challenge with sorrow and repentance. God in his mercy sends Judges to deliver them from their enemies.
