![]() Children's Talk: A centurion asked Jesus Christ for help: his servant needed healing. The Lord Jesus never turns sincere seekers away - the servant is healed. Morning Service: 1 Samuel 11. King Saul makes a good start but is a good start enough. Jesus declared that those who turn back are not fit for God's kingdom. Evening Service: Christians have the privilege of being "sons" of God. Adopted by him to enjoy blessings and an eternal inheritance. With these great blessings come great responsibility Christians are to be holy for God is holy, live for his glory and be faithful to their heavenly Father's commands

![]() Children's Talk: Mobile phones mean that we can call from "anywhere" as long as we use the correct number. However sometimes there is no signal, no answer or it's engaged. Prayer can be offered to God wherever we are, the name of Jesus Christ and we know that God always hears us. Morning Service: (1 Samuel 10). Saul, Israel's new king, is presented to the nation. This is a situation that shows the nation's lack of commitment to the LORD yet the LORD keeps showing them his mercy while challenging them through his word. Evening Service, (Matthew 5:9) - Jesus declared that his people are to be peacemakers. They are to be the calming influence in aggressive situations. They are peacemakers because the good news about Jesus is a Gospel of Peace: God being reconciled to us through Jesus Christ. The great blessing described by the Lord Jesus in this verse is: becoming the sons of God. ![]() Children's Talk: When Jesus is 12 he gets lost in Jerusalem. Mary and Joseph find him in the Temple, debating with the religous leaders. He tells them that he is "about his father's business" Morning Service: (1 Samuel 9), The Israelites wrongly ask for a king to ruke them like the nations. The LORD gives them the king that they desire. Israel may have made the wromng decision yet through it all we see the LORD's amazing mercy and his ability to control the events of this world. Evening Service: Matthew 5:8. Jesus Christ told us: Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. As not one of us has a pure heart we have a great problem. The Gospel messgage is that the death and sacrifice of Jesus purifies us from all sin. In him we can have a pure heart and so have the great blessing of seeing God.
![]() Children's Talk: Years, dates and season's change. We learnt the Bible verse: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. Morning Service: (Psalm 103). To forget is so human. How sad when we forget the LORD's benefits. Faifthfully and loyally he floods these into our lives. Our only worthy reponse is to bless him from the depths of our souls. Evening Service: Children's Talk - 8 days after his birth Jesus is taken to the Temple in Jerusalem. There two old believers Simeon and Anna have the privilege of seeing the him (the Messiah) before they die, just as God had promised. Evening Service: 1 Chronicles 29. The Israelites commit themselves wholheartedly and sacrificially as they prepare to build the LORD's Temple. True Christian worship and service is real religion from the heart. |
