Police are urging retailers and members of the public to remain vigilant following reports of Counterfeit Scottish £20 notes being circulated in the Llandeilo and Ammanford area.
Ps Mike Ross said
“At first glance the notes are very convincing so we want to ensure that other retailers do not fall victim of their use. If you are suspicious of money you are being offered in payment then please contact police immediately.”
Anyone who discovers they’ve been given a fake note is advised to go to their local police station and hand them in. You can also hand them in at banks. If anyone has any information relating to fake notes they should contact police.
Information can be given to Police on 101 or Crimstoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
