A photography group which holds its meetings at Dafen Community Hall has collected a bunch of national awards for its entry of prints in this years Welsh Salon of Photography.
Each year the Welsh Photographic Federation (WPF) invites individual club members from all over Wales to submit up to 12 photographs for selection in the Welsh Salon of Photography. A total of 141 prints and 131 digital images were selected for display at the exhibition by a panel of expert judges.
Last night (Tuesday 7th May) at the official opening of the 2013 Welsh Salon Exhibition at Pontypridd Museum, Llanelli Photographic Society (LPS), which meets on Wednesdays at Dafen Hall, collected the Gwyn Morgan Trophy for the best panel of six prints, a major trophy competed for by clubs and societies in Wales. In addition, 12 prints were accepted from LPS members' entries for the exhibition. Among those was the winner of the Best Colour Print, entered by Steve Milton. A Judges Choice Award went to Arthur Mallett.

The 2013 Welsh Salon exhibition will run in Pontypridd Museum from Monday 6th May until the end of the month.
