In January 2013 Carmarthenshire County Council invited landowners, developers, and any other interested parties to suggest sites for Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation with a view to consider their suitability for inclusion within the County Council's Local Development Plan. The evidence indicated that the need for a new site related only to the Llanelli area. As a result of that consultation exercise, three sites have been submitted for consideration.
The Council is now publishing these three sites for consultation purposes in order to provide the public and other interested parties with the opportunity to comment on the suitability of these sites for Gypsy and Traveller accommodation. The sites which have been submitted for consideration do not represent the Council’s proposed sites for development, and they should not be interpreted as a commitment by the Council that the sites will necessarily be taken forward into the LDP.
A consultation period will now run for six weeks on the three considered sites. Members of the public or any other interested parties will be able to comment on the suitability of the sites for Gypsy and traveller accommodation, until 4.30pm on August 9.
Representations can be made using the form below.
The representation forms should be sent either:
• In writing to The Forward Planning and Conservation Manager, Carmarthenshire County Council, 8 Spilman Street, Carmarthen, SA31 1JY
