Dafen's Kyle Letheren helped Dundee Fc's to a 2-1 win over Dumbarton to secure the Scottish First Division title and a place in the top flight next season. Two first half goals settled the nerves for the Dark Blues, but a spirited fightback by Dumbarton led to a successful penalty midway through the second half. Dumbarton almost followed up their goal with a shock equaliser, but Letheren pulled out a great fingertip save to ensure victory for Dundee.
Goalkeeper Kyle signed for Dundee in the summer of 2013 after spending just over two weeks training with the club. The 26, started his career as a youth player with Swansea City and represented his country Wales at under 21 level when only 17 years old.
Kyle was awarded with a trophy for Player of the Year days later, voted by Dundee FC supporters.
